Funding practice-oriented science – Loschelder PhD scholarship awarded for the first time
Loschelder Rechtsanwälte supports two PhD projects of qualified young lawyers with the Loschelder PhD scholarship once a year. The aim of the scholarship programme is to strengthen the link between science and practice, which is a particular challenge within a lawyer’s practice.
The scholarship provides the general conditions so that the PhD candidates can deal intensively with their dissertation. At the same time, the candidates get a practical insight into the field of law of their PhD project. They work with a concrete connection to their dissertation topic at Loschelder Rechtsanwälte once a week and can discuss ideas with lawyers, who are experts in this field of law.
In the winter semester 2009/10 Loschelder Rechtsanwälte has awarded the PhD scholarship for the first time. The recipient is Mr. Julian Wölfel, who does his PhD under Professor Dr. Ulrich Preis at the Cologne University. His thesis topic is on “the social plan compensation”. The labor law team of Loschelder Rechtsanwälte supervises Mr. Julian Wölfel during his one-year scholarship.
